Introduction to MyEllevate

An impressive jawline is often highly sought by both men and women. Due to causalities such as aging or genetics, many patients have sagging skin and fat that can gather around their chin and jawline creating a jowling appearance that makes many look older or unhealthy. Although there are cosmetic procedures such as a Facelift or Neck Lift that can fix this appearance, undergoing surgery can be a scary thought for some people. Thankfully, at KH Plastic Surgery in New York City & Long Island, we offer MyEllevate as a non-surgical option to sculpt the tissue around your jawline. To learn more about this procedure, please keep reading below.

What is MyEllevate?

The MyEllevate treatment is a comprehensive jawline contouring procedure that offers the convenience of minimally invasive technology with long-lasting results approaching those of full surgical intervention. It uses a continuous permanent suture that physically elevates and supports the skin and underlying tissues along the jawline for a sculpted look that lasts 5+ years.

MyEllevate can be used as a standalone procedure or in conjunction with submental liposuction, and energy-based skin-tightening. This procedure is not a replacement for a neck lift or facelift as it is geared toward facial rejuvenation and jawline contouring. However, the procedure can give the benefits of lifting the under or “double chin” giving the face a more thinning and youthful appearance.

What’s the First Step?

If you are looking to improve your neck and jawline in Long Island or New York City, MyEllevate from KH Plastic Surgery can do some miraculous things without the downtime or cost of Liposuction or an implant! Your first step is to schedule a consultation with Dr. Hoschander where you will discuss your goals and expectations for the procedure.

He will evaluate your face and neck and ask you questions about your medical history to determine if you are a good candidate. We encourage you to be completely open and honest with Dr. Hoschander during this conversation because the information you provide will help him make the right decisions for your procedure and avoid any unnecessary risks.

Once you have discussed all of the pros and cons of the procedure and what Dr. Hoschander believes it can do for you, he will create your custom procedure plan. Our Patient Coordinator will be able to use this information to help you schedule your procedure date and provide you with instructions that will help make the most out of your surgery.

What to Expect on the Day of the MyEllevate Procedure

On the day of your MyEllevate treatment, you will first be administered local anesthesia. As the anesthesia begins to work, Dr. Hoschander will make marks on your skin where he plans to make incisions and where he will manipulate your skin.

As your procedure begins, Dr. Hoschander will use a sutured rod suspension system to strategically “sew” or “lace” the underlying muscles and glands of the neck together without surgically opening the area. He will then make a series of small punctures along the jawline, and then use a fiber optic-lit needle and thread to sew or lace the muscles together, all done without the need to surgically open the area using incisions.

The suture thread is then tied to pull back the glands and muscles that are making the neck sag. Treatments will generally take about an hour.

MyEllevate Recovery

For most patients, the MyEllevate procedure takes less than one hour to perform. There is generally very little, if any, bruising and swelling, and most people can return to normal activities within about a week, excluding heavy lifting.
