KH Plastic Surgery

A Photofacial is 30-40 minute procedure in which intense pulses of light (IPL) are used to penetrate deep into the skin. The treatment can help repair small blood vessels that have become visible, or help eradicate sun spots or other pigmentation irregularities. IPL helps reduce the appearance of acne scarring, and is excellent at treating rosacea and other types of diffuse redness in the skin.

By treating a slightly deeper layer of the skin, IPL photofacials stimulate collagen growth by stimulating minor dermal injuries, thereby helping to improve skin texture. The procedure involves minimal discomfort, if any. Redness and swelling that sometimes occurs after treatment disappears shortly. Most benefits of a photofacial occur gradually in the weeks following treatment.

Prior to your appointment for you IPL photofacial we ask you to avoid sun exposure for 2 weeks. Treatments can be done once every 4-6 weeks.

At KH Plastic Surgery, our goal is to use artistry, state of the art techniques and a scientific approach to extract a patient's underlying beauty. We believe that internal satisfaction can often be achieved through external self-appreciation.
