Education
He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Boston College with Cum Laude distinction. Throughout his education, Dr. Batac received numerous honors and awards including the Scholar of the College award, and was a member of the Sister Thea Bowman Honor Society during his undergraduate years. He then went on to receive his Doctor of Medicine degree from Tufts University School of Medicine in 2010.
Upon graduation, he attended General Surgery residency at Beth Israel Lahey Hospital and Medical Center in Boston where he served as Administrative Chief Resident in the Division of Surgery. He achieved several academic appointments where he served as a representative on the Graduate Medical Education Committee and as a Resident Representative on the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education CLER visit. In addition, Dr. Batac served as a Clinical Instructor in Surgery at Tufts University School of Medicine.
Upon completion of his General Surgery residency, he attended the esteemed Long Island Plastic Surgery Group residency program in Long Island, New York. He is currently Board Certified in General Surgery with the American Board of Surgery. He also completed training in surgery of the Hand at Stony Brook Hospital in Long Island. As an avid researcher, Dr. Batac has multiple podium presentations in national meetings to present new innovations in plastic surgery. He authored multiple research papers in very highly rated journals such as Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and Annals of Plastic Surgery.
In his free time, he enjoys the outdoors, traveling, playing golf, reading, and photography
