Rhinoplasty can be a very intense surgical procedure. To attain the desired results, bones may need to be fractured and reconstructed, and cartilage and other tissue may need to be adjusted and reshaped.

Because of the intense nature of the procedure, it can take a fair amount of time to see its full results. A majority of the swelling will dissipate within the first few months of the procedure, so you won’t be walking around with a swollen nose. At that point, you should be able to see some version of the settled results. However, it can take up to two years before all of the swelling is gone and your results are fully apparent.

Board-certified plastic surgeons Dr. Ari Hoschander are dedicated to providing you with excellent results and will be available to answer any questions you may have during your extended recovery. Contact KH Plastic Surgery today to schedule a consultation.
